Having had several conversations with Wayne who runs True Shaft Archery I quickly realised we are wired in a very similar way. We are both fanatical about wooden arrow shafts and both have a love of bow making and shooting. Wayne is a font of knowledge and works hard to provide quality products in as environmentally responsible way as possible. Having received some sample sets of his Sitka Spruce shafts I was blown away with their quality. Lovely straight tight grain running throughout the entire shaft and each shaft stamped with both spine and weight. They are both light and strong making them a fantastic arrow shaft material. Sitka is also very easy to straighten and holds it's straightness.
1066 Field Archery is now importing matched sets of the Sitka shafts in both 30" and 34" lengths. We also hold stock of large feather fletching jigs (7" and 10") made by Two Sticks Archery which is a sister company to True Shaft. I expect the product range that 1066 offers to grow and if there are any products you would like that True Shaft Archery offers please do get in touch and we can arrange for them to be shipped over with our next order. Given the crazy prices currently on shipping and import duties, VAT and other charges a rough approximation to the cost of any True Shaft products sold in the UK will be around the same number of Pounds as the US dollar prices shown on the True Shaft website.
