These points are incredibly tough and being stainlees don't rust. The little washer behind the point prevents the points from rattling loose and is sad to provide a little damping when shot into hard things like trees or re-bar in the legs of targets! The points screw into an inserts which is glued into the shaft.

Screw in points enable accurate tuning of arrows to an archer and their bow by changing the point weight. This is great if you shoot several fairly similar bows and wish to use the same arrows.
